The opening ceremony of EXPO-RUSSIA VIETNAM 2019, the 3rd international industrial exhibition, and the 3rd Russia-Vietnam business forum took place in Hanoi on November 14, 2019. As an important part of the business agenda, the round table on the cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in the medicine and healthcare was held chaired by S. A. Tsyb, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, and Cheong Kuok Kyong, Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Health. Representatives of the Medsintez plant and other leading Russian pharmaceutical companies held discussions and presented their innovative achievements in the field of pharmaceutics, biotechnology and medical equipment.
The Medsintez plant took part in the Russia-Africa economic forum held on October 23-24, 2019 in Sochi. The event was attended by leaders of African countries, representatives of Russian, African and international businesses and government entities, as well as representatives of the African continent's integration associations.
On October 26 in Chelyabinsk and on November 2 in Yekaterinburg, the National Scientific Society of Infection Disease Doctors has held the educational program called The National School of Infectious Diseases. The program was designed to further develop the system of ongoing training doctors of a wide range of medical specialties on the diagnosing, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases. Leading Russian infection disease researchers, pediatricians, general practitioners, phthisiatricians and gastroenterologists were invited to participate in the program.
For Ural's organic chemists, this autumn has become unprecedentedly fruitful in terms of practical results. Recently, Academician Oleg Chupakhin, IOS research adviser, Academician Valery Charushin, IOS Director, and Corresponding Member Vladimir Rusinov, Head of the Department of Organic and Molecular Chemistry at the Chemical-Technological Institute of the Ural Federal University, visited the Medsintez plant in Novouralsk to make sure the production cycle of Triazavirin, the antiviral drug they created, runs seamlessly. This is an example of a real connection between fundamental science and production and an important milestone in the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry.
The first open tour around the Medsintez plant premises was arranged for the Sverdlovsk Region's Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Science.
